Final Fantasy I: Before Playing

So like I mentioned previously, I want to do a bit of a breakdown of what I know about each game before I play it, so let's dive in to what I already know about the first Final Fantasy game for the NES before I finally start playing it.

The Plot:

Well, I may or may not know the plot, depending on how close it is to this web comic. Chaos is the secret big bad. There is time travel nonsense maybe? There are orbs to collect. Garland likes to knit. Is the name of the King at the beginning actually King Steve? These are the questions I dare to answer.

Gameplay:

As far as gameplay goes, I know there's lots and lots of grinding. In order to save, you have to buy a stupid tent and they aren't cheap. Uhhh... There is a class upgrade somewhere through the game. End of list?

Trivia:

• The team that made the game thought this would be the last RPG they made, so that's why they called it "Final Fantasy." HOW WRONG THEY WERE
• The two dudes that show up in every game are in this one! Right? Did I make that up?
• "Sara" was actually the name of the daughter of someone on the localization team.
• I actually made that last one up because I have no more trivia.
